Communication with Family
At our infant care and preschool, open and effective communication with families is essential to our practice and to the children in our early learning centre. We strive to create an environment of trust and collaboration between the educators and families. To ensure our families are kept up to date on the day-to-day operations of our long day care, we utilise multiple communication strategies including email, phone calls, newsletters, and pick-up/drop-off chats. Email is our primary method of communication and is used to send out newsletters, confirm enrolments, and RSVP to events. We also use OWNA to share photos, videos, and stories from the day with families. Phone calls are used to discuss any issues or concerns, as well as to check in with families. Newsletters are sent out regularly to keep families informed about upcoming events, changes to the curriculum, and new policies at our early learning centre. Pick-up and drop-off chats are a great way to quickly address any issues or questions families may have. We value feedback and input from families and appreciate parents have a conversation with educators during the busy pick-up and drop-off time. Chatting to the team is like talking to an extended group of friends. Most of the educators and families are from Hornsby area, we welcome families from other area. Our baby care and preschool is at a convenient location for parents who work in Hornsby.
Family involvement is an important part of our program planning. All families are encouraged to share significant events, cultures, languages and hobbies with us!
