PhD & Masters degree qualified

Our team of educators are highly qualified. Most of them hold at least a Masters Degree. Our Educational Leader holds a PhD degree.

Not for profit

The owner and management team are all educators, Profit is not our top priority!

We are a group of mothers and have worked in the early learning education industry for over 10 years.

We understand and have deep passion in early childhood education. We regularly meet and discuss about how we can provide better care and education for our children and to support their individual development.

Education programme

We combine research-based practice and theories with innovative approaches to ensure each child is given the best opportunity to reach their potential. We are proud to offer specialised educational programmes and experiences that are tailored to each child’s individual needs. This includes STEM Project, Secret Garden, Ai Linguistic (Chinese, Spanish, Hindi), Ai Creativity, School Readiness (Singaporean-curriculum based) and more.

At Ai Kids Academy Hornsby, we strive to create a “community-like” environment for families and staff. We are much more than an early learning centre. We value the relationships we have forged with families and work hard to ensure that everyone feels right at home. We also provide an array of additional services to help families meet the needs of their children, including nutrition assistance, health and safety advice, and parental education.

Personalised Services

Ai Kids Academy Hornsby has a small group of dedicated and passionate early childhood professionals who comes from diverse cultural backgrounds, comprising of Australian, Chinese, Singaporean, Brazilian, Indian and Napoleon background.

We recognise that children and families come from different culture background. Each family has their own needs for care.

We create an individualised plan for each child and their family, to cater for preferences or special requirements.

For example, we provide special dietary accomodations such as allergy diet, requests for warm water or no beef diet. We do provide an international menu to introduce food from different countries to their children.

We are a boutique centre and our staff to child ratio is above the department requirement.

About Us

At Ai Kids Academy (Hornsby), we understand our role and responsibility as early years educators and the window of opportunity for young children. The early years signify rapid growth in children’s social, emotional, physical and neurological development.

As a long day care centre, we cater for all children aged between 0 and 6 years.

New Management Team

I was deeply motivated by philosophy and values here and excited to join the family. I would like to contribute my past experiences of working and managing centres in Singapore and Australia, and lead the team to translate our philosophy into practice. We want to build a service where children are able to grow and develop their own personalities and abilities in an Australian setting subjected to the highest international education standards.

We met Grace through work in Australia and she left a lasting impression on us as she shared her experiences working and managing centres in Australia and Singapore. When we started to build our team, we looked for someone who could lead us to build a service with high education standards and who is well versed in the international development of the industry and an established member of the early childhood fraternity. We then visited Grace multiple times in Singapore to invite her to join our team. Our philosophy resonated with Grace and she agreed to come onboard. We strongly believe that she will be a valuable asset to us and would help us put our dream into practice!

Grace has experience of managing centre with thousands of children and hundreds of staffs. I am really impressed by her incredible ability, and not only is she good at management, but also a professional educator who has passion and insight in early learning field. The reason why we can invite her to join us is because we provide opportunities for her to do some awesome works without much limitations in big centres. I strongly believe that she will bring something new into Australia Early learning industry.

What we provide

Nutrition

We are guided by the NSW Health initiative, Munch and Move, which promotes the implementation of physical activity and healthy nutritional habits for children from birth to 5 years. Nutritious meals are provided by the reputable Early Childhood food service Kids Gourmet Food.

STEM

For the child to develop a range of learning dispositions and thinking processes required for lifelong contribution to their communities. We are committed to create a culture of thinking, experimenting and questioning to support the development of the following skills, including, critical thinking, communication, creativity and collaborative skills, required in today’s.

Sustainability

It is the collective responsibility of the community to protect our environment. Sustainable living is embedded into our daily program and operation. For example: after mealtimes, scrapes are collected for the compost bin and worm farm.

School Readiness

NSW Department of Education identifies four critical areas for a successful transition to school, including critical thinking/problem solving, independent learning/agency, resilience, and creativity. We recognise and embrace children's individual learning approach and support each child to strive for a smooth transition to the next phase of their learning journey.

We started our child at Ai Kids Academy in March. We moved our 3 year old son here from a larger centre and we could not be happier. This is very much a place where you know all the educators well and they get to know you and your family. There is a lovely ‘community feel’ where we have also gotten to know many other parents and made new friendships. Both my husband and I feel that it's a “warm and caring environment we have found for our children”. The staff genuinely care about each child and nothing is ever too much to ask. I look forward to drop off and pick ups as chatting to the team is like an extended group of friends. The educators all have a passion about the work they do and the activities they create for the kids are constantly varied, creative and engaging. I have been consistently impressed with the educational experiences and knowledge. Ai Kids Academy is a rare find. It has made a huge difference to our family and we are incredibly grateful for all they do for our child. Highly recommended and thank you to the caring team.

My daughter joined Ai Kids Academy in April. Every time I pick her up, she is always happy and smiling. I saw how the educators smiled and interacted warmly with her. This puts my mind at ease as I know that she is in good hands Another thing that puts me at ease is that Ai Kids Academy offers a two-week orientation for my child to get use to the routine and the people there. The educator communicate frequently with me to update me about how my daughter is doing. Recently, I had a one on one session with my daughter’s educator. We discussed about what goals I want for my daughter and the teacher also shared her observations and plans for her. She shared some tips on how I can support my daughter’s speech development. Thank you Ai Kids Academy for helping my child transit well into her schooling years.

Ai Kids is a hidden gem in the quiet streets of Hornsby. After trying different child care and never satisfied with the quality of care my children received, we found Ai Kids and luckily we never wanted to leave. Ai Kids is unlike any other day care, where the philosophy is focusing on children's voices and their individual development. All the educators are passionate and caring about your child and will take time to get familiar with the child's individual strengths and interests. We feel welcomed every day by the smiling faces of all educators and enjoyed the communication with them. There is also a fantastic sense of community and parents are invited to be involved in various occasions such as special events, incursions, professional talk, etc.

We absolutely love Ai Kids! Our bubba has attended recently and we feel so comfortable knowing he is in such caring and enthusiastic hands all day. The carers are so nourishing and encouraing towards the children, fostering relationships among children, and constantly thinking of creative strategies. It's no wonder my bubba doesn't want to leave when we pick him up each day!

I'm impressed for the new management team and the improvement they have made. The new storage of babies' bottles and formula is very neat and organised. They asked me all the details and routines, and also interests and family expectations about my child. I feel like our voice is heard and the management team is approachable and very supportive.
